Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad Core Processor QX6700 will hit the wires on November 2nd 6AM time in continental Europe. These CPUs will be available on the November 14th and this includes retail and etail for systems based on it.

Transmeta sues Intel claiming power patent breach

The complaint in U.S. district court in Delaware charges that Intel is infringing 10 Transmeta patents by making and selling microprocessor products including Intel’s Pentium III, Pentium 4, Pentium M, Core and Core 2 product lines, the computing technology company said.

Apple seen delivering “strong” September quarter

Apple Computer, which reports its September quarter results next Wednesday, is likely to report results at the upper end, if not exceed its guidance of $4.5 to $4.6 billion in revenue and 46 cents to 48 cents earnings-per-share.

GPS Hitchhiking Stunt: 50 States in 50 Days

These guys are hitchhiking to all 50 state capitals in 50 days or less. Their position will be updated on a Google Map every 15 seconds, as well as geocoded photos, podcasts and videos. The cool thing about this project is that it’s all built using off-the-shelf technology – in particular a $50 GPS enabled phone. Drop by and offer them a ride..
